Day 15

No SP today. However, I do have a symbolic photo. It's my new best friend. As I said in my first post, this blog is all about the new 'me'. Well, my new body and lifestyle in terms of eating. This year is all about getting back in shape and getting back to eating healthier foods. I've told myself several times, and started several times to change my lifestyle and start working out. The only problem is, I've always dived in head first and wound up with a headache. In other words, I tried to bite off more than I could chew. This time around, instead of going from 0 to 60 in a day I'm being smart. I started by replacing all snacks with fruits. Easy, I love fruit. Then, instead of automatically changing everything I eat I got smart, start by eating smaller portions. Done.

Now, what do I do about exercise. Well, I always used to work out on an exercise ball easily back in high school and I didn't overstress my body by doing it. I didn't even sweat. So, I picked up an exercise ball. First thing I did was move my desk chair down to the end of the desk and replaced it with my exercise ball. That's right, as I'm typing this, I'm sitting on my exercise ball. Why? Because you have to keep yourself steady and it works your core. I also joined sparkpeople.com. They have a great fitness tracker that makes a plan for you. Well, it tells you what strength training you do and then you add your own cardio from their list or just a custom entry. So, I think again. What else did I like to do to stay fit? I loved kick boxing and riding my bike. So, 15 minutes of Kick Boxing Cardio and 30 minutes on the stationary bike staying over 20mph the whole time and listening to my ipod. None of these workouts really cause me to break a sweat but, I feel them working my body! Anyways, here's my new best friend.

It's my stationary bike. It might look kinda weird because the handles are upside down. I undid them because they were attached to the pedals so that they would move back and forth and I don't use them and got tired of them moving around in my way. lol
